How a requirement becomes a workable solution

The seven steps group into three stages: define the need, build the solution, and execute and deliver.

DUNTEK organizes product and project work into seven steps grouped across three stages. The sequence begins by clarifying the need, moves through solution development and selection, then coordinates execution and delivery. The stages provide a shared way to discuss what is understood and what decision comes next.

01 — Define the need

  • Understand — Clarify intended use, requirements, and constraints.
  • Develop — Translate defined requirements into a workable product, technical or project solution.

Understanding makes the intended use and boundaries explicit. Develop then turns those defined requirements into a solution that can be reviewed. It does not mean every detail was known at the beginning; new information can help refine the requirements as the work proceeds.

02 — Build the solution

  • Evaluate — Review suitability against agreed requirements.
  • Select — Make a considered choice with the customer.
  • Integrate — Coordinate relevant product and supplier resources.

Evaluation connects options to the agreed need. Selection is a considered choice made with the customer. Integration brings together the relevant product and supplier resources for the chosen direction. The order matters: coordination follows a decision about what is suitable for the requirement.

03 — Execute & deliver

  • Execute — Manage project execution.
  • Deliver — Coordinate delivery responsibilities.

Execution management and delivery coordination carry the selected solution through its practical responsibilities. The process describes how DUNTEK structures its work; the specific resources, decisions, and delivery arrangements depend on the project.

A conversation can begin at any step. A customer may have a well-defined requirement to evaluate, or an early need to clarify. Naming the current question helps DUNTEK and the customer focus on the relevant stage and determine what information is needed to move forward.
